The export STC250 runs 16 mm rope (16-35W×7-1960) — 175 m on the main winch and 105 m on the auxiliary. The STC500 runs 18 mm (18-35W×7-1960), 220 m and 130 m. The STC800 and the later STC800S both run 20 mm (20-35W×7-1960), 245 m and 145 m. 35W×7 is a rotation-resistant construction and 1960 is the wire tensile grade in MPa: a rope of the same diameter but a different construction can let the hook block spin under load, so diameter alone is not a specification. The letters after the grade on the brochure designation (USS, USZ) code the finish and lay direction and are worth matching to the tag on the old reel. These figures come from export brochures; domestic C5-series builds are not covered by them, so confirm on the machine before ordering. Replace against the discard criteria in the operator manual — broken wires, diameter loss, kinks, birdcaging — not against hours, and check the drum and sheave grooves at the same time: a worn groove shortens the life of a new rope.

How STC800 Differs From the Rest of the Range
- The STC800 and the STC800S are different builds, not a rename: the S has a longer boom (12.2–47 m against 11.8–45 m), a heavier and modular counterweight and a larger tail radius (4.339 m against 4.116 m). Boom section, counterweight and outrigger parts do not cross between them — quote by the full model code on the nameplate.
- Both builds run 20 mm hoist rope (20-35W×7-1960), against 18 mm on the STC500 and 16 mm on the export STC250. Drum, sheaves and hook blocks are grooved for that diameter, so rope and sheave parts are specific to the 80 t class.
- At 2.56 to 2.96 MN·m on the base boom the STC800 carries roughly one and a half times the STC500 (1,774 kN·m on SANY figures). Slewing bearing, slew reducer and outrigger cylinders are a size class above the 50 t machine and are quoted only against the superstructure serial number.
- Truck crane part numbers are split between chassis and superstructure, which are documented in separate parts books — send both the chassis nameplate and the superstructure serial number when requesting a quote.
